People suffering with bad breath find it, can affect both thier personal life as well as their professional life. Most friends and colleges will not come right up to you and tell you that you have bad breath; they will just talk about you to others behind your back. There are many possible causes of bad breath, the most common of which is poor dental hygiene. This type of bad breath can be remedied by using a mouthwash or brushing your teeth more frequently. However, if your bad breath is a side effect of a more serious illness, it might be a little more difficult to treat.
The culprits may be gum diseases, sinus infection, a not very efficient digestive system, liver problems, diabetes and other diseases. Any of these can cause bad breath thanks to malodorous bacteria in the mouth and digestive system.

INTRODUCTION: Bad breath is caused by odor-producing bacteria that grow in the mouth. Medically it is called halitosis, and can result from poor oral hygiene habits and may be a sign of other health problems. It can also be caused by dry mouth (xerostomia), which occurs when the flow of saliva decreases but it is not contagious, so you cannot catch it or pass it along to someone else.
Bad breath can also be worsen by the types of foods you eat and other bad habits. It’s a problem that is shared by millions of people in the U.S. and affects one in four people on a regular basis.

Halitosis is very noticeable strong odor of the mouth. It is embarrassing to the person who has this disorder, and causes the people around ones who have this disorder to shy away. Most people know halitosis as bad breath
There are many causes of bad breath, one of the most common of which is the leftover food particles in the mouth. Poor oral hygiene is usually the culprit in these instances, when the person neglects to brush or floss properly. In this case, food particles will remain in the mouth, between the teeth, on the tongue or even towards the back of the mouth all the way down the food pipe.
