Dental Implants are another type of artificial teeth aside from dentures. People prefer this treatment as they are more attractive and desirable than the usual dentures. With the help of technology advances from implant dentistry, one can eat and speak as though they have natural teeth. The implants cannot be removed from the mouth but they need to be cleaned regularly.
Procedure
Dental implants are best performed by specialized dentists such as a prosthodontics. The procedure takes some time to complete. Holes are made in the jaw where titanium screws are put in place. It takes a few months for a new bone to grow around it. This fuses the screws in the proper place. An artificial tooth is then permanently attached into the screw.

Teeth grinding, or bruxism, is quite common condition that takes place while a person is asleep. There are a number of reasons why people may grind their teeth. However, the most known reason according to doctors is stress and anxiety.
On the other hand, dentists are of the view that if a person’s teeth are not properly aligned, he or she is likely to grind teeth. Teeth grinding may take place in children too. While some parents may find this to be quite upsetting, it is wise to visit a dentist and get it checked.

The very last molars at the back of your jaw are your wisdom teeth. Usually, they break out when we are 18-22 years old; but for some people, it is only when they are older do they get their wisdom teeth.
Wisdom teeth usually need to be removed because of the insufficient space in the mouth and the problems with their position while growing. If the tooth is growing sideways, it is called an impacted wisdom tooth. In these cases, it has to be extracted. When the tooth is already infected,it also has to be taken out. Situations like these can cause pain if the tooth is not removed. If you have the right medications at home, easing the pain should be no problem.

There is an old saying that goes something like this: let me know what foods you eat and I will tell you what kind of a person you are. This is true because whatever foods that we regularly eat dictates the state of health of our body. And our teeth are not an exception to this. Most of the foods that we eat have an impact on our teeth. For this reason, dental practitioners like Dr. Jonathan Hartley strongly believe that by eating the right kinds of food, we can help maintain the wellness of our teeth.
