Root canal therapy can be a painful experience. No doubt you’ve heard people talking about them at some point or another, and though you might not know much about them, you want to know how to avoid ever having need of one.
Probably the best way to avoid root canal therapy of course, is by taking care of your teeth. The first rule is to brush them thoroughly every night. Of course that isn’t all there is to it. You need to make sure that you have chosen a decent toothpaste. In order to obtain a list of the best candidates for your teeth, you should speak to your dentist. Remember that not all toothpaste is equal!

Dental caries when left untreated progress into the tooth’s soft core (dental pulp) causing the bacteria to develop abscess or pus pocket at the root tip. When the infected pulp is not treated, this will inevitably result to pain and swelling. Also, certain byproducts of the infection can damage your jawbones and without immediate treatment, this could also result to extraction. Endodontics or root canal procedure can save the diseased tooth. Nowadays, having a root canal is a better option than losing your tooth permanently to extraction.
